Successful Musician Cynthia Morrow Pens New Thrilling Murder Mystery
Kirkland, WA (PRWEB) August 29, 2013 -- Since she was just 14 years old, Cynthia Morrow’s whole world has revolved around music. As a violinist and a singer, she has worked on classical pieces and contributed to motion picture soundtracks, including such movies as "Double Jeopardy" and "WarGames." Now, Morrow adds author to her ever-growing list of accomplishment with the release of her debut mystery novel, "Unstrung: A Blanchard House Mystery" (published by iUniverse).

Violinist and violist player Althea Stewart is getting out of Hollywood. After a messy divorce from an alcoholic husband and toxic work environment, Althea heads for Kirkland, Wash., where she plans to open a private music school with her best friend, cellist Grace Sullivan. The two see the holidays as the perfect opportunity for throwing the party of the year and drumming up interest in their new school, but the evening soon turns into a nightmare.
A once-powerful Hollywood concertmaster has been gruesomely murdered, and as more murders pile up, Althea and Grace quickly find that the quiet life they hoped for might not be in the cards after all.
Through her book, Morrow hopes to ignite interest in classical music, as well as more interest in the men and women who create and practice it. "I’d like to promote an understanding of the world of classical musicians who toil longer and harder than the public might imagine to make a living at what they love, whether that means playing in a Hollywood studio, performing with a symphony, or teaching."
