Dr. Vincent Malfitano of Cypress Meadows Earns Person of the Year Award
Antioch, CA (PRWEB) September 25, 2014 -- Dr. Vincent Malfitano, the owner of a senior assisted living center known as Cypress Meadows, has earned the Person of the Year Award. The award, which is bestowed by the Antioch Chamber of Commerce, the City of Antioch, the California State Assembly and the California State Senate, is presented to individuals who contribute a great deal to their community while also demonstrating a great deal of pride, respect and humility.
For his part, Dr. Vince Malfitano credits the staff and residents of Cypress Meadows for this achievement, as the retired dentist notes that his success is “only possible with the help of a number of outstanding and caring individuals.” Dr. Malfitano, who designed, built and now operates Cypress Meadows, was born and raised in the community he serves and takes great pride in being able to give back through his senior assisted living center.
This is not the first time that Vincent Malfitano and Cypress Meadows have been recognized for their outstanding efforts, as Senior Advisor recently presented the assisted living community with its 2013 Excellence Award. More recently, Cypress Meadows was recognized for its treatment of the pets of their residents, earning the 2014 Best Pet Friendly Award from Senior Living. Despite this frequent recognition, Vince Malfitano remains humble and makes a point to give credit to his staff for the accolades.
“We are very fortunate that we do not have a great deal of staff turnover, and I believe that this is a large part of our success,” said Dr. Malfitano. “It is plainly obvious that our staff cares a great deal for our residents, and they consistently go well beyond their obligations in ensuring that our residents are treated exceptionally well.”
While Dr. Malfitano is quick to mention the efforts of his staff, his staff is equally quick to note that their efforts are frequently the result of the example set by Dr. Malfitano. The owner and operator is frequently involved in the day-to-day operations of the community, and the families of residents often express significant gratitude that Dr. Malfitano is so approachable.
