Diversified Machine Systems Community Outreach Provides Nearly 13,000 Meals through the Care and Share Food Bank

Colorado Springs, CO (PRWEB) December 11, 2014 -- Colorado Springs-based Diversified Machine Systems (DMS), designer & manufacturer of 3 Axis & 5 Axis CNC Routers and Large Format Machining Centers, ramped up their community outreach initiatives for the holidays by hosting a Springs Rescue Mission Neighbors Act Drive and developing the DMS Christmas Party Silent Auction to benefit The Care & Share Food Bank of Southern Colorado.

DMS has committed to getting more involved in the community, so this year they hosted the inaugural silent auction at their annual Christmas party on Friday, December 5th. Everyone got involved – DMS employees, partners and vendors all contributed items – bringing the silent auction bid list to 35 items.

While all items got their share of attention, some of the most notable things included a Broncos Football Signed by Champ Bailey, donated by the Broncos by way of Sean Nohavec with UMB Bank, Autographed Photos from Gabriel Landeskog and Ty Lawson donated by Kroenke Sports (Owner of the Denver Nuggets, the Denver Avalanche, the Pepsi Center, and more) also by way of Sean Nohavec with UMB Bank, an HP Touch Screen Computer with Windows 8, Two Colorado Avalanche Tickets donated by Erickson Metals, and a Deluxe Weekend Stay for Two at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort.

All of the proceeds from the auction went directly to The Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado. DMS is proud to announce that the donations will provide 12,856 meals for those in need in the Southern Colorado area.

Tanya Williams, CFO of Diversified Machine Systems is especially proud of DMS’ philanthropic achievements and was quoted as saying, “It’s important for companies to understand their responsibilities not only to their investors and employees, but also to their community.”

In addition to the Christmas Party Silent Auction, DMS employees have been donating food and clothing items for the Springs Rescue Mission as a Neighbors Act Collection Drive. With official collection points around the DMS World Headquarters at 1068 Elkton Drive, DMS hopes to have multiple installments of donations for the Mission to help local Colorado neighbors.

DMS has been honored this year as a 2014 Colorado Company to Watch and ranked #101 in the Top 250 Private Companies in Colorado.
