About the Author
David N. Duncan was born in Northern Michigan, the son of a Baptist minister. His family lived in several small towns, but retained property at the tip of the Lower Peninsula. After high school, he worked in a factory, ran a boat livery and resort, laid sod in Florida, and owned a lawn maintenance business. During this time, he worked on a degree in education, eventually earning a bachelor's degree from Liberty University in Virginia. He taught in a parochial school for several years, became a paramedic, and earned a nursing degree. In addition, he is a firefighter, EMS instructor, chief of a small fire and rescue service, and works full time as a hospice nurse. His wife Peggy is also a nurse and EMT. He has three grown sons, two of which work in the medical field, two step-daughters, and a teenage son. He currently lives next to Wilderness State Park at the tip of Michigan's Lower Peninsula, in a home he remodeled himself. Writing is his newest hobby, along with fishing, hunting, and painting.
