Former Atlantic Starr Lead Singer David Lewis and His Wife Marian Lewis Pay Tribute to the Spirit of Motherhood With Their New Inspirational Ballad "I'll Pray for You"
(PRWEB) May 10, 2014 -- Two years after the death of David’s mother, Mary Lewis (affectionately known as “Nana”), and just in time for Mother’s Day 2014, Lewis and his wife pay beautiful homage with the release of “I’ll Pray For You,” the soaring, inspirational new ballad that shares with the world a universal appreciation for a mother’s enduring legacy of love.
The track, co-written by Lewis and veteran lyricist Jeff Prusan will be the first single from "One," David & Marian Lewis’ gospel album that is an outgrowth of Into the Light Ministries, which the couple launched in 1997.
“The song is essentially a dedication to my wonderful mom and the millions of mothers out there who have made the supreme sacrifice for their children in spite of the many challenges they were faced with,” says David Lewis, who co-wrote, with his brothers, Atlantic Starr’s biggest hits, including the Top Five Billboard pop hits “Secret Lovers” and “Masterpiece” and their signature #1 hit “Always.” “On a personal level, it’s dedicated to her and our beloved grandmother Isabella, who took care of us when mom was out working, but it’s really a song for all the mothers in the world who love their children the way she loved us. These are the very special women who have stood by us and nurtured us into who we became.”
Marian, herself a mother of three sees “I’ll Pray For You” in a global context as it applies to mothers who do extraordinary things all over the world. “We are creating video pictorial to accompany the song that will show the love and grace of mothers everywhere.
“I’ll Pray For You” will be released Sunday, May 11th via digital distribution and can be purchased through all internet outlets.
