The Gilliam Group Launches International Publication Showcasing Luxury Properties Around the World

This innovative, new, online luxury property magazine, called Doorways International™, is geared toward both real estate professionals and high-end homebuyers from around the world.

Realtor Hugh Gilliam, lead agent for the Gilliam Group, based out of Atlanta Communities Real Estate Brokerage in Atlanta, Ga., is internationally connected as a Realtor with active membership in FIABCI-USA International Real Estate Federation, the World Affairs Council Atlanta chapter and the Asian Real Estate Association of America to name a few, had grown an extensive international real estate database. As a Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS), these CIPS designees from around the world are also a part of this database.

“The question became how could we make the best use of this massive database,” recalls Hugh Gilliam. “And how could we help everyone in that database at the same time?”

Doorways International™ came about as a result of a brainstorming session with The Gilliam Group partners, Corbett Gilliam and Joe Hartley. It is a new concept for international luxury property marketing. The quarterly publication now has its own logo, website and a social media presence on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. In addition, the Winter 2016 edition, now includes content articles such as a new column called Unconventional Real Estate. With each issue, the Gilliam Group has gotten the publication closer to their ideal vision for the magazine. Doorways International™ was officially launched at the Asia Pacific Real Estate Congress in Honolulu, Hawaii, last fall and, with the first issue of 2016, it was time to make the formal public announcement.

Gilliam believes it was time to have an electronic luxury properties publication of this nature. As the content and number of listings have grown, so has the reception by real estate professionals and the public. The database has grown from hundreds to tens of thousands, making it one of the strongest international referral networks.

“We tested the market. Once we got a positive reaction, we saw a need to improve the platform to compete with other digital magazines. The Gilliam Group has made a sizeable investment and Doorways International™ is beginning to receive more and more recognition, interaction and referrals. We are excited about the future prospects for the luxury real estate magazine.”

Doorways International™ showcases properties from around the world and can be viewed online at http://www.DoorwaysInternational.com. Remarkably, agents can include luxury listings at no charge. A broker to broker referral fee will be due at closing if a referral results in a sale. The latest winter edition features 79 properties, with price points of under $1 million to $19 million, in Spain, Italy, Panama, Honduras, the U.S. Virgin Islands and several U.S. states. It is currently ad-free, but will eventually be rolled out to other industries such as luxury cars and high-end brands for paid advertising opportunities.
