Successful Autobiographical Novel "Down a Country Lane" by Australian Author Gary Blinco is Now Available as Paperback through U.S. Publisher
Brisbane, Queensland Australia (PRWEB) September 18, 2013 -- In "Down a Country Lane", author Gary Blinco takes the reader on a journey through the raw beauty of the Australian bush and his childhood growing up in a large family, poor and insulated from the rest of the world in the fifties and sixties, then into the stark contrast of the life of a conscript fighting as an infantry soldier in the jungles of Vietnam.
The writing is powerful, descriptive, insightful, emotionally charged and engaging – the reader is suddenly there in the moment for the entire journey.
The book has sold very well in the small market in Australia and is now being offered to an international audience in electronic and paperback formats out of the USA.
“I wrote this book... to share with the world the way Australian bush life could be for many in the fifties and sixties, and the stark contrast of that simple life against the horror of jungle war as seen through the eyes of a conscript in 1969 – 71,” says the author, Gary Blinco.
"Down a Country Lane" is published in eBook format by eBookIt.com and is now available from popular online retailers, including Amazon.com, Barnesandnoble.com, and Apple’s iBookstore. It is also available in paperback on Amazon and Barnesandnoble.com as well as most online sellers.
