“This is a fun read for all ages,” Gauthier says of his book. “It explaines why we feel tickles on our necks and aims to account for those activities happening in your home that have no explanation.”

The idea of a doppelganger – a being that looks just like its human counterpart – is often considered a thing of myth and folklore. Author James A. Gauthier brings the doppelganger to life in his new children’s fiction, “Interstitial Beings: The Doppelganger Connection” (published by Trafford Publishing).

Matt and Keri, brother and sister, have lived a fairly normal life. This quickly changes when Jari and Deri, two interstitial beings known as Tolasians, enter their lives. The Tolasians were previously a secret to humans, as they had been living interstitial lives in a gaseous form. As the first of the Tolasians to reveal themselves to mankind, Jari and Deri hope to set a good precedent and bring about an age of coexistence.

“This is a fun read for all ages,” Gauthier says of his book. “It explaines why we feel tickles on our necks and aims to account for those activities happening in your home that have no explanation.”

Throughout “Interstitial Beings,” readers will watch as Jari and Deri cultivate a life with Matt and Keri, despite their initial differences. Gauthier hopes young readers will take notice of the protagonists’ cooperation and come to accept others that are different.
