Crucita Delgado’s New Book Helps Postgraduate Understand Grounded Theory
Caracas, Venezuela (PRWEB) October 04, 2013 -- In her book, “La Teoría Fundamentada: decisión entre perspectivas” (published by AuthorHouse), which is getting a revived marketing push in 2013, author Crucita Delgado clarifies the onto-epistemological and methodological differences that characterize each of the main perspectives are handled today in grounded theory.
Delgado describes “La Teoría Fundamentada: decisión entre perspectivas” as the product of a sustained effort to clarify the similarities and differences between the three main perspectives in grounded theory: the classical perspective from Glasser, the intersubjective perspective offered by Strauss-Corbin and finally the constructivist perspective exhibit by Cathy Charmaz.
“I make a profound reflection, and I insist on the need to choose one of the three perspectives before beginning the data collection,” she explains. “The book shows the characteristics of each perspective and the onto-epistemological and methodological consequences of choice between one or the other of these perspectives.”
Delgado has worked to make the book an important resource for readers interested in postgraduate studies. She says, “It provides the necessary knowledge to make an informed choice about which one of the grounded theory perspectives you want to take to your research and which of them is more convenient and meets the intentions as a researcher.”
