Sookasa Selected as a Dropbox Premier Partner for Its Fully Integrated Cloud Access Security Broker Solution
SAN MATEO, Calif (PRWEB) November 12, 2015 -- SaaS security company Sookasa Inc. announced today that Dropbox has selected Sookasa to bolster customers' security in the cloud as a Premier Partner in its new Partner Network, making Sookasa Dropbox's only fully integrated risk detection, data protection, and policy enforcement CASB partner. The announcement comes on the heels of Sookasa's launch of a brand-new data detection product, File Scan.
In December 2014, Dropbox chose Sookasa as one of its initial Dropbox Business API launch partners. Since unveiling support for Dropbox in April 2014, Sookasa has encrypted more than 500 million files in Dropbox with its transparent file-level encryption solution, which protects sensitive data even after it leaves the Dropbox cloud, including on mobile devices.
"Customer trust is our highest priority, and we are dedicated to providing leading security solutions to our customers as part of our Partner Network," said Patrick Heim, Head of Trust & Security for Dropbox. "Sookasa is one of these Premier Partners, and its seamless DLP and encryption tools help further our goal of marrying best-in-class security and ease of use for our customers."
File Scan, Sookasa’s data loss prevention product, leverages the Dropbox Business API to check Dropbox Business and Enterprise team accounts for high-risk data, such as PCI, PII, PHI, and IP. File Scan gives businesses peace of mind knowing that confidential information isn’t sitting exposed on the cloud. Once sensitive data gets flagged, Sookasa offers advanced remediation, including patented file-level encryption, which enables businesses keep the data on Dropbox. Sookasa protects data both on devices and in the cloud, and decouples the data from the encryption keys. As a result, end users are able to continue using Dropbox the way they always have, but with the ability to place high-risk files and folders within the Sookasa folder, which automatically encrypts its contents.
“As one of the original Dropbox Business API launch partners, we’re thrilled to deepen our partnership with Dropbox as an inaugural member of its Partner Network,” said Asaf Cidon, CEO and co-founder of Sookasa. “This strategic partnership furthers our goal of simplifying security on the cloud by giving IT everything they need to secure their company’s cloud—all in one place.”
