4th Annual Dunkin’ Donuts Munchkins Run to Benefit ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation
Richmond, Virginia (PRWEB) November 04, 2014 -- Dunkin’ Donuts, partners with local Clover Hill High School student, Bryce Badura, for the 4th Annual Dunkin’ Donuts Munchkins Run to raise funds for the ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation. ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to make life better for children with cancer. ASK provides financial, spiritual, social and emotional support directly to children with cancer and their families.
Seventeen year old high school senior, Bryce Badura, began this event in 2011 to honor a close friend who was diagnosed with Leukemia. Now in its fourth year, Bryce, along with ASK have set a goal of 1,500 participants, which has the potential to raise over $45,000 for the foundation. All proceeds from the family friendly 5k run and walk will benefit the ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation. The charity race, for the kids of ASK, is hosted by the students at Clover Hill High School and the Varsity Outreach Club. Dunkin’ Donuts will provide the Munchkins along the course as well as free coffee, donuts, and breakfast sandwiches for the post-race “Celebration Breakfast.”

The Dunkin’ Donuts Munchkins Run is great fun for all ages,” said Dunkin’ Donuts Richmond franchisee, Starla Taylor. Bryce first approached Taylor in 2011 to sponsor the race, and they have been partners ever since.
The 5k race will take place at the Clover Hill High School Campus in Midlothian, Virginia, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2014. Online registration is available until November 20th at http://www.DonutRun.org. Participants may pick-up their race bibs and Dunkin’ Donuts goody bags on race day beginning at, 9:30 a.m. Race day registration is available for $40. Registrants who raise a minimum of $20 for ASK will be entered to win one of five FREE donuts and beverages packages for a year from Dunkin’ Donuts. Additional prizes will be awarded to the male and female first place finishers in Elementary, Middle School, and High School grade levels, as well as Adults age 23 and older.
Clover Hill High School is challenging all local elementary, middle, and high schools to participate in this year’s Dunkin’ Donuts Munchkins Run School Challenge. The elementary, middle, and high school with the greatest participation will be awarded with the Dunkin’ Donuts Munchkins Run Trophy to adorn their school trophy case as well as donuts from Dunkin’ Donuts at their school, each month for year! Local schools are encouraged to participate by registering their school name in the “School Affiliation” section within online registration.
