Oak Brook, IL (PRWEB) March 20, 2014 -- DuPage criminal firm the Law Offices of Francis J. Discipio announces the addition of Associate Attorney Guy J. Papa to their team.
Associate Attorney, Guy J. Papa, will concentrate his law practice on criminal defense, real estate, personal injury, and workers compensation. He earned a B.A. in criminal justice from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. He then received his Master of Arts in Psychology from Lewis University. In 2013, he went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University School of Law.
Prior to joining the Law Offices of Francis J. Discipio, criminal lawyer Guy J. Papa has worked for 15 years as a police officer. During this time he undertook a variety of assignments including: Patrol Officer, Tactical Officer, Detective and Sergeant. He also gained experience in supervising gang and narcotics undercover operations and earned a Certification in Force Science. After working his way through the ranks, Papa decided to pursue a law degree. He has also drawn on his law enforcement background to teach Forensics classes at Valparaiso School of Law.
Papa is a member of the American Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, Kane County Bar Association and Mont Clare/Elmwood Park Lions Club. He was the 2011 IANU David Award Recipient and was also recognized as Law Enforcement Man of the Year in 2009. Additionally, Papa is an Illinois Licensed Real Estate Broker.
