NIWA in New Zealand Sees Usage Increase 10 Percent Since Implementing EBSCO Discovery Service™ with Koha
Ipswich, Mass. (PRWEB) August 11, 2014 -- National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA) in New Zealand launched the EBSCO Discovery Service™ API with Koha in April 2014 and is quickly finding success. NIWA sought to implement the EDS API from EBSCO Information Services into their existing Koha – an open source library management system - to minimize change to the library user experience. The integration not only created positive feedback but the library has measured a 10 percent increase in traffic of library resources.

The usability of the EDS API with Koha has played a big role in extending the reach of library resources and ultimately increased traffic at NIWA. NIWA has offices around New Zealand and with the EDS and other technologies; the centralized library in Wellington is able to provide services to all staff when they need it.”
