Utah State University Opts for EBSCO Discovery Service™ via Innovative’s Encore Duet
IPSWICH, Mass. (PRWEB) September 15, 2014 -- EBSCO Discovery Service™ via Encore Duet has been selected by Utah State University as its discovery solution to help the library consolidate its diverse resources. The service will also make resources more readily available to library users through an intuitive interface. The university adopted Innovative's Encore discovery solution several years ago and when the new partnership between Innovative and EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) was announced, they were intrigued by the possibilities offered by the integration of EDS via Encore Duet.
Integrated Systems Librarian, Cheryl Adams, says the EDS via Encore Duet solution gave their library a discovery service that was the perfect fit for their needs. “The integration of EDS with Encore allows us to enhance the power of our discovery platform while retaining the familiar interface and customizations. We wanted to provide our students with rich, fully-integrated results across all of our content and an intuitive interface and EDS via Encore Duet gave us just that.”
Going forward, Adams says the university plans to take advantage of the several customization options offered through EDS via Encore Duet. “The ability to customize is very important to us, and we will be taking advantage of those options available in both the Innovative Encore administrative area and in the EBSCOadmin”.
