Author E.F. Grey’s mission is to teach with all sincerity and passion the things of God, for the purpose of edifying the Body of Christ as it is stated in Ephesians 4:11-13. As man seeks to do Kingdom building, it is vital to bring into fulfillment everything that God has ordained for everyone’s life and individual ministry. Ezekiel 44:23 says: “and they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.” Though the passage is referring to teaching the Children of Israel going astray and the Priests’ responsibility to teach the people, Grey believes that it is in the same manner that everyone is yet held to this same responsibility and transparency.

“Sister To Sister; a True Sister” contains sisterly conversations about the essence of being a true sister and visualizes a personal interaction with a friend/loved one that makes it a more personal experience. With passages from the Scriptures, this book was meant to be simple, fun, but most importantly, a work that takes time to share with those who hold significance to one’s life. A personal reflections note is also included to detail or memorize how one can display godly sisterly qualities on another.

Over a cup of tea, readers will be taken into a sisterly conversation that brings in the characters of Toni and Shea, two women who come to share everything about who they are and what they are through a lively interaction, interjecting and bringing clarity to various areas of the Scriptures, how they put them in everyday living situations and how it connects to every aspect of their lives.

Grey has longed for such a sisterly relationship and wondered what that type of relationship would entail. Her adult life consists of many travels and various experiences which brought her to the point of writing this book based on what she realized is lacking in many relationships. “Sister To Sister: a True Sister” reflects the simplicity of sharing time and the importance of sisterhood. Most people try to live life separate from the Word of God and this book shows how they are connected even in the simple manner of sisterhood and the importance it has on their lives.
