EKN is an effective software system which offers two exciting capabilities; secure data storage and review, and telemedicine report generation.
HS-UK has been the sole distributor for the DRS camera, since its launch in the UK in January 2011 and is now able to offer the EKN service to compliment the DRS functionality. Future-proof, the software integrates seamlessly with the DRS platform and its future evolutions.
The data storage and review element of the software is a one-touch, automatic online data backup via a ‘cloud’ data storage service, which is fully-secured through multiple encryption. The ‘cloud’ service allows World-wide data access, enabling exams to be reviewed via the Internet from any computer, anywhere.
The telemedicine report generation functionality allows retinal images and textual information to be securely transmitted and made available online. Retinal specialists can then assess images from any location, via their web browser, and fill in a fully-customisable clinical report.
