“I am proud to mark a full decade servicing eastern Washington,” said Chris, a network specialist/site acquisition specialist for EcliptixNet Broadband, a small, privately held WISP. “I also look forward to the next ten years being of service to our clients.”
In addition to the tenth anniversary, Chris and EcliptixNet Broadband, whose coverage area experienced an August wildfire, recently provided free high-speed internet close to a firefighter base camp, which was set up at the Fruitland Bible Camp, of 1,300 volunteers and firefighters and gave them complimentary connection. The fire started on August 14, 2015, and was not contained until September 20. In fact, according to an August 25, 2015, USA Today article, this year’s Washington wildfires were the largest in the state’s history.
“During this tense time as the fire raged on, we were honored to provide these brave heroes internet connection to help them with their crucial job of containing and extinguishing the fire,” said Chris. “That is what EcliptixNet Broadband is all about: helping the community.”
