On April 19, the new book by acclaimed Buddhist teacher Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche, Emotional Rescue: How to Work with Your Emotions to Transform Hurt and Confusion into Energy that Empowers You (Tarcher Perigee / Penguin Random House) will be released to the public.
On May 6-8, the author will teach a workshop in New York City based on his new book, co-presented by Nalandabodhi New York and The Interdependence Project.
Many know Ponlop Rinpoche as the author of Rebel Buddha: A Guide to a Revolution of Mind (Shambhala), which presented Buddhist teachings with a fresh, and a contemporary voice in the context of an emerging North American Buddhism, free of religious trappings.
On Friday, May 6 Ponlop Rinpoche will give a keynote talk and be interviewed by Ethan Nichtern, a senior teacher in the Shambhala Buddhist tradition. A book signing will also take place.
On Saturday, May 7, and Sunday, May 8, Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche will teach his groundbreaking 3-Step Rescue Plan that shows how to free oneself from being a victim of emotions by gaining the awareness and understanding that helps one harness their power. He will be joined by meditation teachers from The Interdependence Project and Nalandabodhi.
