The international luxury real estate firm, Engel & Völkers today announced the appointment of its Chief Operating Officer, Anthony Hitt, to the position of Chief Executive Officer. As CEO, Hitt will lead the strategic growth of the brand in markets throughout its existing affiliate network and expansion into new markets in North America.

Hitt joined Engel & Völkers as Head of Real Estate for California where he led west coast expansion efforts and established Engel & Völkers Academy training to maintain and manage the brand’s service premium quality and to ensure its consistency with the standard held worldwide.

In 2012, Hitt was appointed Chief Operating Officer leading operations from the North America headquarters in New York City. He oversaw the development of the Engel & Völkers brand while maintaining high client service standards, and broker and agent recruiting in addition to location selection and training and coaching throughout the organization. He also provided support to Engel & Völkers' License Partners and their shops, helping then to leverage systems and tools to build profitable brokerages, attract top agents and best serve real estate clients in their markets. Under his leadership, Engel & Völkers North America achieved a 68% increase in total sales volume this year over last.

Prior to joining Engel & Völkers, Hitt worked with Sotheby’s International Realty as a top producing agent, management professional and trainer. As a Realtor®, Hitt received numerous awards and accolades for his superior service and results.
