Bingham Farms, MI (PRWEB) May 28, 2014 -- Norman T. Kutemperor, President/CEO of Scientel, presented on Scientel’s Enterprise Content Management & Search System (ECMS) capabilities using Scientel’s Gensonix® NoSQL DB on May 13 at the Enterprise Search & Discovery 2014 conference in NY. Mr. Kutemperor, who has been termed the “Father of NoSQL”, was quoted as saying, “When it comes to Big Data, advanced content management and extremely efficient searchability and discovery are key to gaining a competitive edge.” The presentation focused on: “The Power of Content -- More power in a NoSQL environment”.
Corporate data is doubling every three years to staggering levels. More than 80% of data generated today is Unstructured Data; i.e. "contents" due to the onset of the modern technology era, and this data is swamping PCs, from individual levels all the way to large enterprises. Today's general information and much of intelligence flows freely through unstructured, unmanaged contents, and is not tracked or automated. These unstructured content data arrive at higher velocity, variety, variability and volume than what we can imagine. Today's best competitive strategy requires taking control of content before individuals and organizations get swamped by it.
Due to the inefficiencies and limitations of SQL DB environments, an ECM (Enterprise Content Management) system must operate under a NoSQL DB for optimum overall management of “Big Data” contents and must be highly scalable. The ideal system should store in a central repository, organize, and access at many levels virtually any kind of digitized data and make the management of corporate information easier through simplifying storage, security, version control, process routing, and retention. It also must support drag-and-drop features and recognize many different types of contents. Additionally, it must also handle sophisticated information/files such as scientific data, Access DBs, BI Analytical system files etc. Lastly, it should also automatically extract text from all textual documents and build a search index supporting keyword, fuzzy or sentence searches and provide good security with protection from deletion. The benefits to an organization of using a NoSQL DB-based ECM system include improved storage efficiency, better control, high speed and reduced costs for managing all documents and contents regardless of their types.
These factors were presented by Mr. Kutemperor in detail at the Enterprise Search & Discovery 2014 Conference.
About Scientel Information Technology, Inc.
Scientel Information Technology, Inc. is a U.S.-based, international, systems technology company, operational since 1977. Scientel also designs/produces highly optimized high end servers, which can be bundled with its "GENSONIX® ENTERPRISE" DBMS software, as a single-source supplier of complete systems for Big Data environments. Scientel also customizes hardware and software for specific applications resulting in higher performance.
Scientel's specialty is advanced NoSQL DBMS design and applications/systems integration for advanced business processes. This includes applications for Big Data, commercial intranets, Supply Chain management, IT consulting, support, etc., along with “beyond mainframe-level” Large Data Warehouse Appliance hardware/systems.
GENSONIX® allows very user-friendly data manipulation capabilities found in standard, SQL-based, database management systems, but it goes beyond. It is truly an "ALL-in-One SQL" -- an “All Data Management System” in the form of an ultra-flexible, NoSQL DBMS of perfectly general capabilities and application potentials. It can also function in concert with mainline SQL systems to efficiently handle both structured and unstructured data as a large data warehouse repository. However, it can handle heavy database loads by itself with the aid of the GENSONIX® NSQL©™ query/procedural language. GENSONIX® supports both telnet as well as http interfaces. GENSONIX® is capable of handling trillions of rows/transactions for billions of customers, which is a huge advantage in “truly Big Data” structured applications.
Business customers can take advantage of Scientel’s capabilities in advanced Business Intelligence and Data Analytics to grow their business by handling Big Data more cost-effectively and with greater insights to remain competitive. Scientific, government, and similar organizations can use these capabilities to efficiently process Big Data, instead of being swamped by it. And, Scientel’s Enterprise Content Management & Search solutions can vastly simplify storage, access, and management of any kind of digitized data for any size organization.
