In her new book “Finding Roses in the Dust: A Journey to a New Perspective” (published by WestBow Press) author Erin Brynn takes readers along as she recounts a personal journey of life and exploration in Afghanistan.
“My book is about the journey I took – physically, emotionally and spiritually – while living in Afghanistan, and includes letters I wrote to family and friends about my daily experiences in this war-torn country,” Brynn says. “Along with each letter is a ‘personal reflection’ about each letter that I wrote after returning home, as well as chapters on culture, religion and life in Afghanistan. The book is also about what happened to me when I allowed God to change my perspective on how I see life, not only in Afghanistan, but with my family and the world I live in.”
“Finding Roses in the Dust” presents readers with a firsthand look at some of the most topical issues of the day: terrorism, war, Islam, military presence in Afghanistan, U.S. policies on international affairs, freedom of speech and religion, international humanitarian work, and more.
