ZumFun Launches Exam Elf App for iPhone
New York, NY (PRWEB) June 10, 2014 -- ZumFun, a NYC based educational startup, has launched their latest app, Exam Elf. Exam Elf teaches students the specific skills needed to perform better in exams in a fun game environment, without the cost of expensive test preparation classes.
“We have found 12 key skills that are needed to perform well in exams and have built the app around those skills,” says ZumFum’s Chief Learning Officer, Dr. Vesna Gasperov. “Some of them are taught directly such as time management, focus and exam strategy; others are taught through experience such as test usability, answer sheet experience and using additional time to check your work,” she adds.
To ensure that Exam Elf is fully Common Core compliant with each grade carefully benchmarked, ZumFun has partnered with Learningpod to make the official Kaplan Test Preparation questions available through Exam Elf. The quality of questions in Exam Elf is now the highest possible with the years of research that has gone into the questions. Students will have the highest level educational experience for free through Exam Elf.
Another key element of Exam Elf is for parents by giving access to detailed reports on how students are progressing, as well as their strengths and weaknesses. Parents are also able to encourage their child’s progress through various options included in the app.
“We hope that students use Exam Elf and turn up to their exams well prepared and not nervous, allowing them to apply their knowledge effectively and efficiently to perform to the best of their ability. Silly mistakes, nerves and other poor exam technique errors will hopefully become a thing of the past,” says ZumFum’s CEO, Dr. Adam Wootton.
