Tom Chickerella Appointed Chief Operating Officer for Explorys
Cleveland, OH (PRWEB) April 15, 2014 -- Explorys, the leader in big data-driven healthcare transformation, today announced that Thomas Chickerella has joined the Explorys Executive Team as Chief Operating Officer. As Explorys’ new COO, Tom will bring his experience in healthcare performance improvement and supply chain management to help the company ensure the highest levels of efficiency and quality for its customers as it continues to grow in response to strong market demand.
In his new role, Tom will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, including talent management, program management, and process improvement. Tom will be working closely with the Explorys senior team on areas including strategy, vision, prioritization, team development and the many opportunities and challenges the company will face as it continues to transition from a growing startup organization to a scalable, high performance enterprise. In the last 9 months, Explorys has experienced rapid growth of its employee base to support an expanding national network of healthcare systems, which currently consists of 18 IDNs, 300 hospitals, and over 215,000 providers.

Prior to joining Explorys, Tom led performance management and supply chain at Vanguard Health, where he emphasized a hands-on leadership approach to developing process improvement methodologies and management tools to facilitate dramatic operational improvements. Tom brings more than 20 years of experience in Lean Performance Management, and is a long-standing member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
