Washington, DC (PRWEB) July 15, 2015 -- Legal publisher Fastcase today published the company’s annual list of “Fastcase 50” award recipients. Selected from online nominations over the last several months, the “Fastcase 50” award recognizes 50 of the smartest, most courageous innovators, techies, visionaries, and leaders in the law.

The Fastcase 50 highlights entrepreneurs, innovators, and trailblazers — people who have charted a new course for the delivery of legal services. In law firms with new delivery models, legal tech startups, and even inside some of the nation’s largest law firms and legal publishers, these pioneers are giving the world a first look at what’s next for law and technology.
“Legal tech is really having a moment,” said Fastcase CEO Ed Walters. “It’s a very exciting time, as teams of connected innovators around the world work on complementary projects. And where legal tech used to benefit mainly the lawyers who use it, you can see from this year’s list of honorees that the focus is shifting to the benefit of clients and consumers of legal services.”
It was hard to top the Fastcase 50 classes of 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014— but with another record number of nominees, there were some great choices. “One thing that we’re particularly excited about is how much collaboration there is among honorees,” Walters said. “There are only 250 people who we’ve recognized, but the world of legal tech is a small town, especially in a time of social networks and conferences. Many Fastcase 50 winners from 2011 are working with honorees from 2014 and 2015.”
