Florida Flight to Host Their 4th Annual Holiday Toy Drive Charity Basketball Game to Benefit the Children’s Home Society of Central Florida
Orlando, Florida (PRWEB) December 13, 2013 -- The Florida Flight is hosting their 4th Annual Holiday Toy Drive charity basketball game to benefit the Children’s Home Society of Central Florida (CHS) on Saturday, December 14th.
This year, the Flight will square off against The Grinches, a celebrity team compiled of celebrities and media personalities mostly from the Central Florida Community.
Notables for the game are 2 time NBA Champion and Orlando Magic alum Greg Kite, Corey “Sauce” Brown, featured with the Ball Up Streetball team, and David Baumann, Host of The Rundown on 740 The Game.
As always, admission is free with the donation of an unwrapped toy. Items collected will be included in the Stuff the Bus Contribution efforts of Power 95.3.
“We’re super excited to work with Power 95.3 this year,” said Mark King, Owner of the Florida Flight. “The goal is to collect 1,000 toys, but also raise awareness for the Children’s Home Society here in Central Florida.”
The game will be held at the Downtown Recreation Center, the Flight’s home court, located at 649 W. Livingston St. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00pm.
A pre-game Fanfest is scheduled to kick-off at 1:00pm. Fans will have the opportunity to meet the players, get a crazy balloon animal, enjoy some holiday music, and also grab a free picture with Santa courtesy of Smiling Butterflies and Photography by Kristi.
“The scope of this event will set the precedent for what we intend to do this upcoming season,” added King. “We’re going to make our biggest commitment to investing in the lives of others yet.”
