Dallas, TX (PRWEB) February 27, 2014

Fonality, the innovative provider of business phone systems and integrated communications solutions designed to reduce the friction that slows business momentum, today announced that its channel partner Computer Troubleshooters of Metro New York has been selected as a winner of the 2014 Channel Partners 360⁰ Business Value Awards.

Recognized for its implementation of Fonality for the United Spinal Association, Computer Troubleshooters of Metro New York was selected by Channel Partners editors and an expert panel for successful telecommunications deployment across the association’s multiple offices, resulting in greater efficiency and cost savings.

“Congratulations to Jim Greenfield and the Computer Troubleshooters of Metro New York team for their commitment and hard work,” said David Scult, CEO of Fonality. “We love hearing how organizations use Fonality to improve operations, but nothing makes us more proud than knowing that our solution helps wonderful nonprofits like the United Spinal Association save money and better serve its members.”

Challenge: Unifying Communications Across Multiple Locations

Founded in 1946, the United Spinal Association provides guidance and support for individuals living with spinal cord injuries and disabilities. With multiple offices, more than 60 chapters and thousands of members across the United States, communication is essential to coordinate operations and serve its membership.

"It had become apparent that our expensive, aging Avaya system would no longer support the communications needs of our organization," said Michael Katsev, vice president of information technology at the United Spinal Association. “The Fonality solution is an evolutionary product that allowed us to standardize our telecommunications deployment across all locations, and realize impressive annual cost savings. When evaluating Fonality against competitors, their features blew everyone else away.”

Solution: Moving to the Cloud with Fonality

United Spinal Association started out with Fonality’s on-premise solution before making the switch to a hosted solution. “We came to realize that the cloud is the future, and working with Jim Greenfield at Computer Troubleshooters of Metro New York, we started to evaluate cloud providers,” said Katsev.

“We’re a huge proponent of cloud solutions for SMBs, and have seen 95% of our customers make the move to hosted solutions for voice,” said Jim Greenfield, owner of Computer Troubleshooters of Metro New York. “United Spinal understands the virtues of IP telephony and saw the benefits of making the move. These benefits include business continuity and the peace of mind that comes from hosting a system in Fonality’s secure data center with its redundant backup and 24/7 monitoring.”

While previously staff worried about keeping phone calls short to reduce costs, they now can focus on providing a quality experience with Fonality’s Heads Up Display, a unified dashboard interface that connects users to all their communication tools – including phone, chat, email, SMS and voicemail – in one place. “Our employees depend on Heads Up Display all day long. It’s like everyone has a personal assistant right at their fingertips,” described Katsev.

The association also benefits from Fonality’s call center features such as expansive menu options, unlimited queues, automatic call distribution and call routing capabilities, helping members get to the right person quickly for efficient service.

Computer Troubleshooters of Metro New York was honored for its work with the United Spinal Association during an awards ceremony on Feb. 26 at the Spring 2014 Channel Partners Conferences & Expo in Las Vegas. Winners will be featured in Channel Partners' March digital issue, May/June print issue as well as an Immersion Center at http://www.channelpartnersonline.com. The 2014 program was underwritten by AT&T.
