Fred G. Dickenson Teaches Life Lessons in New Memoir
BRIDGEPORT, Texas (PRWEB) November 22, 2013 -- Author Fred G. Dickenson has always believed that God has had a special reason for him. A friend of Dickenson’s family used to say to his father, “The good Lord must have something special in store for Freddy, ‘cause the devil is sure trying to kill him.” Now, Dickenson releases his personal memoir of the many hardships he faced and the joys that got him through in, “Hard Knocks & Consequences Too: You Still Have a Lot to Learn” (published by WestBow Press).
“The book is an easy read that people can and do relate to,” says Dickenson. “It is a blend of humor, love and emotion that makes the reader feel good about themselves and their lot in life.”
“Hard Knocks & Consequences Too” is Dickenson’s collection of short stories and anecdotes taken from the colorful and often miraculous moments of his life. Dickenson describes himself as a man who “by all rights shouldn’t be here.” His close encounters with death take readers from Dickenson’s early life to his career in the U.S. Air Force and all of his travels in between. Each chapter concludes with a life lesson and biblical passage.
To his readers, Dickenson says, “Ultimately, God is the center of our lives and will take us through every hardship.”
