Prova Education Announces Expansion of Its Nationwide Medical Education Series “From Guideline to Practice: Managing Challenging Cases in Primary Care”
Fort Washington, PA (PRWEB) December 05, 2013 -- Prova Education, a division of The Omnia-Prova Education Collaborative (TOPEC), announces the expansion of its annual capstone educational conference titled “From Guideline to Practice: Managing Challenging Cases in Primary Care.” From Guideline to Practice is a case-based medical education series held in multiple cities throughout the year. Its year-end capstone meeting is scheduled for December 6-7, 2013, in New York City.
The first day of the capstone meeting focuses on key issues facing the primary care practice today such as chronic musculoskeletal pain, chronic migraine, eating disorders, osteoporosis, and more. The expanded curriculum includes a second day of workshops on Alzheimer’s Disease and migraine diagnosis and management. These added workshops are designed to address the education needs of clinicians who co-manage patients with neurological disorders, and they leverage a unique collaborative learning format that focuses on primary care physicians, neurologists, radiologists, gerontologists, headache specialists, and other key audiences.
Prova Education’s ongoing series and hands on workshops utilize highly interactive learning formats that leverage case-based analyses, small group learning, evaluation of medical guidelines, panel discussions with expert faculty, audience response technology, and more. “Medical professionals gain tremendous value by participating in live sessions with experts and reviewing cases on the latest research and medical guidelines,” said Dik Barsamian, President of The Omnia-Prova Education Collaborative. “We are excited to expand our year-end conference by including two additional workshops on neurological disorders that primary care physicians co-manage with other medical specialists.”
