Renowned Cinematographer Louie Schwartzberg Joins Global Spa & Wellness Summit Infographic and Videographic Competition Judging Panel
New York, NY (PRWEB) June 10, 2014 -- The Global Spa & Wellness Summit (GSWS) today announced that contestants from around the world are already submitting entries for its >>Fast Forward to the Future of Spa and Wellness Challenge. Competitors are invited to present original infographics and videographics that reflect their unique vision of spa and wellness and can participate in the challenge by first submitting a registration form by August 14. First, second and third place winners will share US$4500 in prizes.
Winning entries will be judged by an independent panel of industry and design/video experts and announced on September 12 at the eighth annual annual Summit, which will be held in Marrakech, Morocco. World-famous cinematographer Louie Schwartzberg, recently featured on Oprah's Super Soul Sunday, has agreed to join the panel of judges.
Submissions can appeal to businesses and spa and wellness professionals–for example an infographic or videographic that communicates opportunities in the industry in the future–or they can be designed to inspire people to make long-term lifestyle changes that will impact their health and happiness in years ahead.
Infographics should blend visuals with data and original content, so information can be presented in an engaging, easy-to-grasp way. Vidoegraphics should be short video presentations, between 15 and 60 seconds in length, and communicate the future of spa and wellness in an innovative and memorable way.
“Global Spa & Wellness Summit delegates and speakers were inspired by entries in our first Infographic Competition, which was held in conjunction with the 2013 Summit in India," said Marc Cohen, GSWS board member, director of the competition and professor at RMIT University. “With the addition of videographics to the challenge, this year promises to be even more exciting, and we look forward to sharing the creativity and talent of contestants from around the globe."
The contest is open to both individuals and teams, and students and professionals over the age of 18, from anywhere in the world. Partnerships between those with industry expertise/insight and those with design fluency are encouraged. There is no entry fee.
After contestants register, submissions (and questions) should be sent via email to: infographic(at)gsws(dot)org.
