Furniture Wholesaler Gabby Announces Support of Adoption Ministry Lifeline
Montevallo, AL (PRWEB) August 18, 2013 -- William White, President of family-owned furniture wholesaler Gabby, is proud to announce that his company has embarked upon a new relationship with Lifeline. Birmingham-based Lifeline is a faith-based ministry that seeks to improve the lives of children and families around the world through foster care and adoption services, financial assistance, and an investment in education, health care, and emotional well-being.
Said William White of the decision to partner with Lifeline, “We make a single commitment each year to a deserving charity.” Lifeline’s impact on children and families covers a number of aspects of life, and that impact can be felt both at home and abroad, making the charity a clear choice for Gabby. In the past two years, Lifeline has opened up new offices in 7 states, and is currently working to pair orphaned children in nine countries with adoptive families here in the United States.
In addition to an extensive network of social workers pairing children and families through their foster care and adoption ministries, Lifeline provides countless other necessary services to families in need. For example, Lifeline provides housing, food, transportation, medical care, training, and emotional and spiritual support to birth mothers who choose adoption. Orphans receive care through Lifeline’s (un)adopted program as long as necessary until a suitable family can be found. Countless other programs support education, vocational training, and medical costs.
So far, the relationship between Gabby and Lifeline has turned out to be mutually beneficial. William White noted, “We’re always looking for profitability, but in addition we want to pick an investment each year in our local and international community. We want to support everything they [Lifeline] do.” Lifeline has also found the partnership very rewarding. “Gabby has been a huge gift; William sees the value in the mission and we really appreciate his leadership," said Krisha Yanko, Lifeline’s development director. "I'd love to continue working with Gabby."
Recently, Gabby donated a number of pieces of furniture and home decor to a silent auction as part of Lifeline’s yearly fundraising banquet. Next up is a run in Birmingham to support (un)adopted, which will be held on September 7. For those who can’t make it to the run, Lifeline offers supporters the opportunity to make a one-time or monthly contribution at http://www.lifelinechild.org.
Gabby is a family-owned company based in Montevallo, AL. Each year, the furniture wholesaler chooses one charity to support, as part of a larger mission to be a positive influence in their local and global community.
