The annual list highlights the accomplishments of female executives within the IT channel and their impact on the advancement of the technology industry. Wilson received further accolades in the publication’s inaugural Power 50 Solution Providers, an elite group of female executives leading companies whose clients regard them as trusted advisors.

The 2014 Women of the Channel award recognizes the success GWA Business Solutions has enjoyed under Wilson’s leadership. While many channel vendors struggled with changing business models, Wilson positioned GWA to better serve targeted industry verticals, transforming a purely sales-driven company to a consulting group heavily invested in their client’s goals and objectives. Wilson says she had to confront a vastly different future for GWA’s daily practice. "New software distribution models have arisen, such as cloud computing and SaaS for starters. This meant we had to rethink our approach and develop new and sustainable ways to add value for our clients. We had to build closer relationships, which means our clients are now consulting with us on everything they do. We help them to 'do it once.'
