New Book by Gary Thomas Sees Silver Lining in Face of Disaster
Bronx, NY (PRWEB) January 30, 2014 -- Gary Thomas, author of “Try Again: Help is on the Way” and “New Birth Book of Discipline,” reflects on the uncertainties of life and offers comfort and support to readers trying to rebuild themselves with God’s help in his new book, “Life at Ground Zero” (published by WestBow Press).
“The book deals with issues of the 21st century and provides practical examples of people who have suffered loss and defeat and who have not dropped out of the race of life,” Thomas explains.
“Life At Ground Zero” discusses a wide range of social, economic and religious issues that face many Christians today. Using biblical narratives and his own experiences, Thomas comforts readers facing financial troubles, divorces or questions of faith and reminds them that God always gives his people a second chance.
An excerpt from “Life At Ground Zero”:
“There are droughts that come to all of us as individuals, as a church, or even in our ministries. In this drought, Elijah suffered like everyone else. In 1 Kings 17:7, we read his brook dried up, but he knew it would not last forever.”
