Gettliffe Architecture has been in business since 1999 and has worked with clients internationally as well as all over the United States.
"We began as a very local practice when we were doing general contracting of our own projects in Boulder County. Over time we have moved to extend our architectural work internationally (notably in Central America) while maintaining our strong local roots," architect and owner Dominique Gettliffe said. "Our work now has a global reach, but our approach to architectural design is, as always, very process and participation oriented."
To Gettliffe Architecture, their work is an opportunity to enrich the relationship between people and the environment. Green design is central to their approach in each project.
"We consider the environment in the design process by creating buildings and spaces that belong to the project site and its surroundings, that utilize resources effectively both during construction and throughout the life of the building, and that also connect us to nature in inspiring ways," architect Alejandra Baltodano said. "Considering the environment is not just important for developing a sustainable future, but also for enriching our experience of the world today."
Gettliffe Architecture recently launched a brand new WordPress website which they developed in partnership with Boulder web development company, Ramblin Jackson.
"Their old website was built in Flash -- which doesn’t work on iPhones or iPads -- so we developed it to be more mobile-friendly and to showcase their impressive portfolio photographs," Ramblin Jackson Internet Marketing Director Jack Jostes said.
