A primary focus of her studies centered on the impact of chronic illness on sibling relationships and grief counseling; a topic Dr. Brunasso became acutely involved in during a five-year tenure at the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald house. In addition to gaining valuable practical experience during her time at the non-profit, Dr. Brunasso had the opportunity to work with and experience firsthand families of children with severe and chronic illness. At her practice, she continues to specialize in marriage counseling, couples therapy and family counseling following a personal loss or struggle with long-term illness, while also working with individual clients seeking help with mood disorders, anxiety, therapy for depression and immediate crisis.
