Owners and Employees of Golden Meadows Kennels Give Blood to Benefit Sick Children in Need
Central Ventura County, CA (PRWEB) July 25, 2013 -- In tandem with a fundraising raffle for Hazel, a local Moorpark, California girl diagnosed with high-risk nueroblastoma, the charitable owners and employees of Golden Meadows Kennels recently gave blood at the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital to benefit young Hazel and other children in need.
More commonly known as a renowned breeding kennel with top-tier trained Golden Retrievers for sale, the staff at Golden Meadows Kennels has recently turned their attention toward a more selfless cause. Yes, in partnership with The Talbert Family Foundation, Golden Meadows has proudly launched a fundraising raffle to benefit the family of two-year-old Hazel and, in addition to this monetary rally, they’ve also donated blood to the local children’s hospital.
“Golden Meadows is happy to be a part of our community,” says Tim Hoke, one of the owners of Golden Meadows Retrievers. “We’re very grateful that we had the opportunity to donate blood to Hazel and the other children in need.”
Having also donated a Golden Retriever puppy to the winner of the recent raffle, the Golden Meadows staff brought the prize pup, Ellie May, to the blood drive to meet Hazel and her family and to raise further awareness for the fundraising endeavor. As a result, the charitable breeder was able to raise even more money for Hazel, by showing off Ellie May.
In all, between the successful fundraising raffle and the generous donation of blood to the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital, the staff at Golden Meadows Kennels is proud to have helped the family of young Hazel and hope their contributions have a positive impact on the wellness of Hazel and other Los Angeles area children.
