Grace Century to Participate in the Greg Smith Macmillan Cup at the Al Hamra Golf Club in Support of the “We Are Macmillan Cancer Support” Charity Event
Ras Al Khaimah, UAE (PRWEB) February 21, 2014 -- Grace Century, FZ LLC is pleased to announce its contribution of rare sports memorabilia to the live auction segment of the 6th addition of the Greg Smith Macmillan Cup which will be held, this year, on April 18, 2014 at the Award winning Al Hamra Golf Club in Ras Al Khaimah, U.A.E.
The Greg Smith Macmillan Cup is held in memory of one of the club's founder members, Gregory Smith, who passed away at the young age of 42 upon losing his battle with Cancer. One of Smith’s last wishes was that the Club hold the annual event to raise funds for the We Are Macmillan Cancer Support charity; the organisation that supported and cared for Smith and his family throughout his battle with the disease.

I am thrilled that we were able to utilize it for something so worthwhile and with the help of a top executive at one the world’s premier golf firms, we were able to obtain a rare golf collectable as a donation to this worthwhile charity auction.”
Golfers will enjoy a team scramble format, including 18 holes of golf, a shared cart with GPS, on-course events, BBQ dinner, raffle draws and live auction at a green themed party.
Simon Mees, PGA Professional and General Manager of the Al Hamra Club also commented, “It is our plan to make this year’s event the biggest and most successful to date with a target of AED150, 000 (over $41,000 USD) to be raised for the charity resulting from both the golf tournament and evening party.”
The event is expected to draw over 120 golfers from the Emirates as well as international visitors.
