Greenberg Traurig Shareholder Ian M. Ross Recognized by Dade County Bar Association at “We Can Dream” Pro Bono Celebration

Ross, a shareholder with the Litigation Practice at the Miami office of international law firm Greenberg Traurig, was recognized by the Dade County Bar Association during the “We Can Dream” pro bono celebration dinner at the Rusty Pelican on March 2 in connection with his nomination for the Florida Bar pro bono award for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit.
The event featured distinguished members of the judiciary and Florida Bar, along with a showcase of pro bono opportunities to benefit “Put Something Back,” a joint pro bono project of the Dade County Bar Association and Eleventh Judicial Circuit, Cuban American Bar Association Pro Bono Project, and Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc.

Ross is a shareholder in the Litigation Practice of the firm's Miami office. He represents corporations, directors, and officers, as well as professional service and accounting firms, in commercial and securities litigation, professional liability actions, and government investigations. Ross has experience defending against claims brought in federal securities class actions, state securities actions, shareholder derivative suits, breach of fiduciary duty actions, and claims arising out of financial or commercial transactions. He also has represented clients in connection with investigations by the Securities and Exchange Commission, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board. Ross also is active in pro bono matters, and has successfully represented refugees seeking political asylum in removal proceedings in immigration court.
