Greenberg Traurig and Beretta Godoy Host First of Its Kind LGBT Seminar in Latin America
Buenos Aires, AR (PRWEB) March 22, 2017 -- To coincide with this year’s Mergers and Acquisitions in Latin America conference presented by the International Bar Association (IBA), the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP joined forces with Beretta Godoy to host a first of its kind LGBT Seminar in Latin America which took place on March 15 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Randy A. Bullard, co-chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Miami Corporate and Securities Practice, and Stephen V. Pelliccia, an associate of the firm, participated as speakers along with an esteemed panel of experts from leading law firms and other business executives, including: Federico Godoy, Beretta Godoy, Argentina; Rocío Balestra, director of Comisión Nacional de Valores, Argentina; María José Sucarrat, director of the Companies’ Network for Diversity, Argentina; Robert Ellison, Shearman & Sterling, Brazil; Ignacio Meggiolaro, MBP PARTNERS, Argentina; and Rafhael Romero Bentos, Mattos Filho, Brazil.

“The world has changed significantly since 2001, when I became a shareholder at Greenberg Traurig. Early on, we took a monumental step as a firm and created our first LGBT Affinity Group to address issues particular to LGBT attorneys within the firm,” said Bullard, who serves as the Liaison Officer for Law Firm Management for the LGBT Law Committee of the IBA. “While I am thrilled of the progress we’ve made in hiring and promoting LGBT attorneys in law firms across the United States, there still remains a lot of work to do in the U.S., and across Latin America. This conference is hopefully a stepping stone to a broader conversation in Latin America about the visibility and promotion of LGBT attorneys.”
