Greenstar Home Services Highlights Homeowner Case Study and Reminds About Plumbing System Maintenance
Orange County, California (PRWEB) June 11, 2015 -- Earlier this month, Greenstar Home Services released new Tips on What Look for in a Reputable HVAC Service Company. To follow up on that article and their 1st tip, Value- Greenstar now shares a recent homeowner case study that highlights the importance of working with a reliable HVAC organization.
Greenstar Home Services is Las Vegas Nevada and Orange County California’s leader in sustainable plumbing, HVAC maintenance, and whole home water filtration services. Greenstar had earlier shared tips to find a reputable HVAC service company. Their first homeowner tip spoke to Value:
1. Value: Homeowners today are demanding the greatest value for their hard earned dollars. No one wants the cheapest and yet no one wants the most expensive service. Savvy consumers today want a good value. A company’s price point has to be backed with the value and service to support it.
Jack Yarbrough, Manager at Greenstar Home Services speaks of a recent home repair his team completed.
“Sometimes the ‘cheaper’ guy can be the most expensive $1,000 you have ever saved. We were recently at a property for the first time performing an evaluation on a HVAC system that was not working properly and was installed less than a year ago. Upon inspection we discovered multiple challenges with the system including, but not limited to: no filter (no filter!), duct work that was disconnected, gas line run improperly, refrigerant lines ran improperly (not sealed through roof leaving potential for future water damage), to name a few. After talking with the homeowner he admittedly told us he went with the lowest priced contractor to ‘save some money’ and he knew it would not be a permitted installation. He decided to ‘take his chances.’”
Yarbrough continues, “This did not work out so well for him. After multiple attempts to contact the business he was unsuccessful. The company most likely, in his words, was out of business. So he called us. We provided a detailed list of code corrections and changes that needed to be made in order to get his unit working properly and efficiently. Because he was on a budget we identified those challenges that needed to be taken care of immediately and those challenges that could wait till next year. We performed the work professionally and on time. The client is thrilled and is preparing to get the rest of the work done shortly.”
Greenstar reiterates the importance of finding a reputable, valuable HVAC company to work with.
“The sad reality is that after these corrections are completed this client will have paid more than if he had gotten the work performed with a reputable licensed contractor the first time; not to mention the potential damage he has inflicted on his new system because it was not installed properly and without a filter.”
Yarbrough concludes, “A company’s price point has to be backed with the value and service to support it. Had this client gone with us in the first place he would have saved money, time, and an unneeded headache.”
