Henry Ford Learning Institute Introduces New Brand Identity
Dearborn, MI (PRWEB) August 24, 2015 -- Henry Ford Learning Institute (HFLI) unveiled a new brand identity that reflects the non-profit organization’s evolving strategic focus, which is to imagine, design and deliver programs to help people become more creative and innovative in how they think and learn. HFLI’s new brand identity is incorporated across all of its communications channels, including a new web site, re-launched in August 2015 – http://www.hfli.org.
The inventor Thomas Edison said, “There’s a better way. Find it.” HFLI drew inspiration for the new brand identity from this quote, which embodies the mindset of visionaries in education, communities and business today. Imagination and the ability to innovate are critical skills for success in a global economy.
As a result, the new symbol for the brand is optimistic, with a contemporary look and feel. First seen as a collection of shapes, the icon represents objects for learning and also the letters that comprise the HFLI acronym.
“Our goal was to define a message and an identity that reinforced HFLI’s past while establishing an aspirational platform for future growth,” said Deborah Parizek, Executive Director of Henry Ford Learning Institute.
HFLI has successfully developed and manages a network of Henry Ford Academies, small urban K-12 schools that engage a wide range of community partners to prepare learners to succeed in college, pursue a career of choice and address challenges with innovative thinking. Now, HFLI is broadening its focus beyond K-12 education to become a learning partner to a range of business and community organizations, including Ford Motor Company and Ford Motor Company Fund, helping individuals and teams develop creative problem solving skills and mindsets that power business and social innovation.
HFLI’s approach includes Design Thinking, a creative problem solving process. Working with the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford University (“the d.school”), HFLI has refined the Design Thinking process to explicitly develop young innovators and resourceful lifelong learners.
