July 21-24 is going to be a very exciting time for community college, high school and university educators, counselors, technicians, industry professionals, trade organizations and workforce development advocates, because that’s when the annual High Impact Technology Exchange Conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Chicago.

July 21-24 is going to be a very exciting time for community college, high school and university educators, counselors, technicians, industry professionals, trade organizations and workforce development advocates, because that’s when the annual High Impact Technology Exchange Conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Chicago.

HI-TEC is a national conference on advanced technological education that focuses on the preparation needed by the existing and future workforce for companies involved in the high-tech sectors that drive the U.S. economy. This conference not only educates America’s technical employees, but also updates their knowledge and skills for the future.

HI-TEC 2014 will explore the convergence of scientific disciplines and technologies including:

  •      Advanced Manufacturing Technologies
  •      Agricultural, Energy, and Environmental Technologies
  •      Biotechnology and Chemical Processes
  •      Electronics
  •      Engineering Technologies
  •      Information Communications, Security Technologies and Geospatial
  •      Learning, Research, and Evaluation
  •      Micro-and Nanotechnologies

Attendees have the option to choose from fifteen pre-conference workshops and industry site tours during the first two days, followed by the two-day main conference, which will feature keynote speakers and sixty breakout sessions. In addition, there will also be an awards luncheon and Technology Showcase with door prizes, an exhibitor reception and much more!

HI-TEC strongly supports the mission of the National Science Foundation’s Advanced Technological Education (ATE) program to strengthen the skills of technicians whose work is vitally important to the nation’s prosperity and security.
