HR West 2016 Will Bring Together Hundreds of HR Professionals to Learn, Network and Support the American Heart Association
San Francisco, California (PRWEB) February 18, 2016 -- HR West, an innovative and collaborative human resources industry event serving a community of over 20,000 HR and talent professionals, is partnering with American Heart Association (AHA) this year to promote the organization’s Workplace Health Solutions program. The 34th annual conference will convene March 7-9, 2016 at the Oakland Convention Center in Oakland, California.
HR West’s community members are distributed across multiple companies and counties, and with HR being ‘at the heart’ of all organizations, the addition of the AHA proved to be a synergistic tie-in. According to Greg Morton, CEO of NCHRA (HR West producer), "NCHRA is proud to leverage our immense community of HR professionals in support of such a great cause, heart health. HR professionals are the heart of the organizations they serve and in a variety of ways serve to keep those organizations healthy."
The American Heart Association’s Workplace Health Solutions program offers a suite of evidence-based tools to help employers maximize current employee health program and includes a Workplace Health Achievement self- assessment to guide employers to make improvements, monitor and recognize achievements. Additional information and resources will be provided at the AHA table during the conference.
“The American Heart Association is pleased to be chosen by HR West as their 2016 charity of choice,” said Laura Putnam, Chair of the Greater Bay Area 2020 Task Force. “We look forward to working together to educate and engage human resources departments in the Bay Area for a heart healthier workforce.”
Recognizing the opportunity for a 3-way-win between the American Heart Association, employees, and employers. HR West will also offer an additional and innovative way for conference attendees to give to the AHA through we2o, a new philanthropic platform that allows employees to donate unused PTO hours to charity. Working with HR West, we2o has created a special landing page which can be accessed on any digital platform to allow attendees to donate unused vacation hours (employers must be on an open PTO module) as well as credit card or bitcoin to the American Heart Association. The we2o team will also host a table located near the American Heart Association during HR West.
