We’ve received a lot of positive feedback about the new Octopus 600. Our customers really love that the device is so simple to use and compact in size, but can still be fully-integrated into any network.
Harlow, Essex (PRWEB UK) 2 May 2014
Haag-Streit UK has recently updated the Octopus 600 with the two most commonly used macula programmes; the physiology-based M-programme, unique to the Octopus product family and the 10-2. The advantage of the M-programme is that it can carry out a very high density of test points in the central three degrees, which are most important for good vision.
The Octopus 600 combines standard white-on-white perimetry with the new, patented Pulsar flicker stimulus method. This provides simplified early glaucoma detection and long term follow-up in a single instrument.
Dr. Reiner Herrmann, Director of Marketing and Sales at Haag-Streit Diagnostics commented, “We’ve received a lot of positive feedback about the new Octopus 600. Our customers really love that the device is so simple to use and compact in size, but can still be fully-integrated into any network. As already proven in our research, our customers recognise that the pulsar stimulus is easy and pleasant to take to patients, which greatly supports reliable results”.
Dr Herrmann continued, “Many of our customers informed us that they have a great need for macula testing, so we listened. In our latest update, we included both the M and 10-2 programme. As with all Haag-Streit basic software updates, this update is available free of charge for customers who have already purchased the device.”
