Haag-Streit UK anticipate an exciting UKISCRS 2015
Harlow, Essex (PRWEB UK) 16 October 2015 -- Haag-Streit UK (HS-UK), the leading manufacturer and distributor of gold-standard optometry and ophthalmic equipment, is pleased to announce that it will be exhibiting at this year’s UKISCRS annual meeting held in Leicester on the 22nd – 23rd October.
HS-UK will be showcasing a selection of key products within its product portfolio, including the; AngioVue OCT-A device, LENSTAR LS 900 biometer and Hi-R NEO 900 microscope.
The AngioVue is the first commercial OCT-A system capable of imaging and displaying the function of the ocular microvasculature, through a non-invasive procedure. The innovative system uses a unique dyeless technique to quickly evaluate the functional blood flow of the retina and optic nerve. This method allows the procedure to be performed in everyday clinical practice and unlike fluorescein angiography, can be repeated as often as required, and with no risk to the patient.
The LENSTAR LS 900 non-contact biometer provides 9 measurements per scan, in under 30 seconds. Offering more precise and reliable K readings than other optical biometers, the LENSTAR measures closer to the central visual axis, using 32 reference points in a dual zone of 1.65mm and 2.3mm.
The Hi-R NEO 900 is the universal microscope for all surgical procedures where vertical observation is needed and has been specifically designed for ophthalmic surgery. The large stereo base provides maximal depth perception, and the clear zoom illumination with filters delivers bright and safe light.
Haag-Streit UK will also be running workshops and lectures at the UKISOP event, which takes place alongside the UKISCRS meeting. Workshops include practical demonstrations of the AngioVue OCT-A, LENSTAR LS 900 biometer and BQ 900 slit lamp. Lectures will cover topics including ‘Slit Lamp Imaging’ and ‘Measuring and Planning for Toric IOLs’.
