Harlow, Essex (PRWEB UK) 6 December 2013
Haag-Streit UK (HS-UK), the leading manufacturer and distributor of gold-standard optometry and ophthalmic equipment, has now finalised an exciting agenda for the first in a series of courses on ‘Improving Outcomes’ in biometry. The first course will be held at the Radisson Blu hotel, Glasgow, on 20th and 21st March 2014.
The courses are designed to help both beginners and experienced Ophthalmic Consultants get the most from their biometer. The finalised agenda will include lectures from key speakers on topics such as; good biometry practice and IOL power calculation.
The day will also incorporate practical, hands-on workshops on subjects such as; efficient data entry and toric IOL planning. The first day is aimed at beginners and the second will focus on more advanced techniques, enabling delegates to attend whichever day is more appropriate for them. Attendees will be able to claim CPD points for both days of the event (applied for).
Speakers for the event are confirmed as; Dr Jonathan Ross, Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon, Borders General Hospital and Dr Sathish Srinivasan, Consultant Ophthalmologist, University Hospital Ayr and Mr Shahriar Nabili, Consultant Ophthalmologist, Hairmyres Hospital, Lanarkshire. All are widely-recognised as experts in the biometry field.
Sam Laidlaw, HS-UK Product Manager for biometry said, “The course will be a great opportunity for delegates to gain hands-on experience in the workshops, as well as learn from experts in the field. We only have limited spaces on the course, so we suggest that anyone interested should book early to avoid disappointment.”
The price for the event is just £100, which will include lunch at the Radisson Blu. Further courses are planned to be held throughout the UK, during 2014.
