The roadshow gave Ophthalmic Consultants the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a unique product which has been specifically designed to treat vitreolysis.
Harlow, Essex (PRWEB UK) 10 February 2014
The roadshow took place at numerous locations in the UK, between the 27th and 30th January 2014. The series of visits was organised by Jacqui Kenyon, HS-UK Product Manager for the Ellex products and was also attended by Nicolas Bruel, Clinical Support Manager for Ellex and some of the HS-UK Area Sales Managers.
The Ultra Q was first launched in the UK in 2004. With the recent addition of Reflex Technology, which provides optimal illumination of the vitreous, the Ultra Q Reflex offers an innovative treatment solution for Nd:YAG laser-based floater treatment.
Unlike standard YAG lasers, the Ultra Q Reflex allows coaxial illumination, which optimises viewing for both the anterior and posterior segment. The unique reflex illumination mirror design, briefly moves out of the laser pathway during firing and ensures that the laser beam is never obstructed. This minimises the risk of under or over-dosing the energy, ensuring the desired effect is achieved.
Jacqui Kenyon, HS-UK Product Manager, said, “The roadshow gave Ophthalmic Consultants the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a unique product which has been specifically designed to treat vitreolysis. Staff received practical demonstrations and had the opportunity to learn about the product from both HS-UK and Ellex experts. I was delighted with the success of the roadshow, and we plan to repeat the event later in the year.”
