NALA’s Businesses Helping to Wear out Poverty Worldwide with Soles4Souls
Ventura, CA (PRWEB) November 12, 2015 -- “The NALA’s businesses are joining the fight against poverty by giving their communities a place to donate new or gently worn shoes to Soles4Souls,” said Jeffrey Rosenthal, Chairman and CEO of the NALA. “We are honored to partner with Soles4Souls and are very proud of our clients who answered the call and are making a major impact on the lives of people in need across the globe.”
One such client is Margaret Turner, a Temecula, CA, State Farm agent who recently collected more than 1,300 pairs of shoes for Soles4Souls, with the help of a local 12-year-old middle school girl, whose team amassed 500 pairs of shoes. Another generous NALA client, who is also a State Farm agent, is Brandon Shreves, who proudly announced his Mobile, AL, office reached its targeted goal of 500 pairs of shoes in its first drive for Soles4Souls and is currently trying to double that over the holidays.
“Each day around the globe, children are prevented from attending school and adults are unable to work as walking becomes unbearable due to a lack of shoes,” said Rosenthal. “However, with help from people like Margaret and Brandon, the vision of Soles4Souls, which is to eradicate extreme poverty by 2050, is becoming a reality.”
