Herb A. Ford’s New Book Teaches Children about God’s Treasure
Lima, OH (PRWEB) July 14, 2014 -- Author Herb A. Ford wanted to provide children with a story that was not only entertaining, but also contained a meaningful message. “The Little Red Bag” (published by CrossBooks) is Ford’s new children’s book about a girl who finds a treasure that is much more than it appears.
Nadia and Christian are excited to head to the beach with their grandparents. They pack the car with their supplies and look forward to a day in the sun. While playing in the sand, Nadia finds a small red bag. The bag contains golden coins with letters on them. The meaning of these letters will teach Nadia a lesson about the meaning of treasure.
“I learned about this topic from my childhood and from spending time thinking about what I wanted to leave for my children if I were not here anymore,” Ford says. “As a pastor, I work with youth quite often, and I can see that there are areas in youth that have not been developed. I am focusing energy on those areas.”

As a staff member for nearly 15 years at Cornerstone Harvest Church, Ford gives direct oversight to several ministry departments. He also serves as the vice president of The Heir Force Community School Board. He has a master’s degree in church administration from Friends International Christian University in Merced, California.
