Heyam Qirbi Retraces Path of Her Spiritual Journey in New Book of Poems
KANATA, Ontario (PRWEB) August 13, 2013 -- In “Mothers for Peace” (published by Trafford Publishing), Heyam Qirbi’s new book of autobiographical poetry, readers gain an intimate glimpse into a young woman’s spiritual awakening.
“Mothers for Peace” is the first of seven books compiling Qirbi’s poetry. She began writing at age 14, starting a seven-year period of her life which she calls Destiny of Love. The poems describe the process in which Qirbi discovers her reality in dreams, a realization that led her to turn toward the Creator and ask for guidance.
An excerpt from “Mothers for Peace”:
“The earth that God promised to inherit his good people
Through her prayers, passion and patience,
Heyam is found repeating her eternal verse
I am eve: I am your friend and your mother,
I am your sister and your mate,
Today, I am real! not mirage.
I am She, and He I am
Put together and became:
Heyam.”
Qirbi hopes her experiences help guide and inspire young people. “People now are talking in term of material agendas,” she says. “Young people are in turmoil and anxious to see a better future with no wars in the agenda. Let the peace circulate and keep the young involved in the future of the world. Immigrants have to learn their responsibilities before their rights.”
