C. C. Rae Announces Publication of Book set in her Arizona Hometown
YUMA, Ariz. (PRWEB) January 11, 2017 -- The new book, “Hidden Magic: The Portal Opens” (published by iUniverse), by C. C. Rae takes place in the small town of Yuma, Arizona, where she grew up. Rae was inspired by the town to create a world that was both an escape for people as well as a vehicle to help them find their way back to a reality they can love as much as fiction.
“Hidden Magic” centers on another realm harboring the magic that was once a part of the world we know. In this realm magic is a force of progress and an element of technology. Although united under the rule of a council of representatives, the realm suffers from corruption and division. The three main characters are Nicole, Raiden and Gordan who realize they have been pulled into a conflict far greater than they know. Their challenge is to discover their identities while facing a world that will try to define them. Together their journey to embrace their own potential will defy social expectations and change not only their fates but the fate of an entire realm.
Rae hopes that readers will embrace the idea, however terrifying, of living up to one’s potential: “Accepting ourselves for who we are,” Rae says, “and extending that same acceptance to others, no matter the challenges or the opinions of society, is the most important thing we can do, not just for ourselves but for the next generations who will join our diverse world.”
